Hello, I’m now driving along the banks of the Tweed River heading into the Wollumbin National Park. We’ve had quite a bit of rain lately so everything’s so lush and green. Wollumbin, also known as Mount Warning, is the sacred mountain of the Rainbow Region, Northern Rivers, NSW, Australia, near Byron Bay, where I’ve lived for nearly 30 years. I’m really excited to take this opportunity to come and ground my energy in this wonderful area after being in India for nearly 3 months. This has long been a place of vision questing for me, where I come and soul search, asking for clarity and understanding. Ahhh, a kookaburra has just flown in front of my car and landed on the side of the road. That’s a great omen as it’s known as the messenger bird by Indigenous Australians. It’s so still here, except for the trickling of the water over the rocks in the palm fringed forest. It’s solace for my soul.I’ve just climbed up a short pathway and am staring into a forest of palm trees. I’m in heaven. I’m going to fill up my water bottle because the water is so pure and clean, mountain stream water. How lucky. I feel very grateful to be here.
